"Do It Anyway"
"All hard work brings a profit, but mere talks leads only to poverty."
Proverbs 14:23
Why is it that the right thing is usually the hard thing? The very things that we are supposed to be doing are usually the things we don't want to do. Take housekeeping for instance. Or laundry. These tasks don't always come naturally, but if we want to succeed, if we want to profit, we must work hard. We can talk all day about the work we need to do - go grocery shopping, mop the floors, pay the bills, organize the closets - but the work isn't going to get done on its own. We have to dedicate ourselves, then dive in. And isn't it wonderful on the other side of the tasks? Looking at a clean house, an organized closet, a full pantry. . . . these things are blissful.
Lord, sometimes we need a burst of energy. We need our "want to" back. You're great at shirring us to action Father, so we're counting on You to help us not only get started, but to get the job done. With Your help we can do it. Amen.
